Happy Feet

Rhetta took Beginner's Tap Dance this semester at her request. Oh boy was she happy to make all that noise! She picked up the steps rather quickly and was a lot more focused during class than in previous semesters. We're just super proud of her.

Can you believe she is only just 9 years old?



Look how she towers over the other girls (they are 7 and 8 year olds) even standing one step down.



They tapped to Happy Feet (Cab Calloway). Rhetta is #3 here in the video. Again, we are completely blown away at her sense of rhythm. She often has none, not even to any internal metronome, to speak of. Being on stage does something to her, perhaps let's the world drown out, that let's her free up and just be herself.
