And I don't care! HA HA HA HA HA!
Good thing I crochet then, isn't it?
I have given up my desire to learn to knit. Some of my best friends knit. Nay, are addicted to knitting. For a very long time now I have been quite jealous but have since moved on. Maybe in my later years if my hands haven't shrivelled into knarled, knotted knobs. I highly doubt it, though. I have so many more interests and this one thing, this thing I now admit I do not have the patience to learn, isn't going to weigh on my mind anymore. I did find something in a knitting encyclopedia about knitting with a crochet hook. Now that might be worth learning, for me. My hands just will not work together. They never have. I prefer one hook or one needle and thread, etc.
So I looked up some crocheted toys on Etsy and found some patterns I want to purchase. I get the feeling only I will play with them but we'll just see, won't we? That will have to wait for a time when I have extra bucks. Did I mention I'll be making them in miniature? I intend to use embroidery floss.
In the meantime I have a patchwork-style blanket to crochet with all my funky scraps of yarn that have accumulated over the last 38 years. How's that for an end of the winter project? Ha!

I am jealous of knitters as well, but realize I have other talents elsewhere :)
Hi, I found your blog when I looked up failures and knitting. I love to knit, but it's all a mess. I can't follow a pattern, I can't keep count of stitches and I can't knit straigt.
But that doesn't stop me and I am now a proud terrible knitter!
I call it art.
After all I am an artist w. an art degree so really truly, my messy rectangles are art.
Keep up the humor, I enjoyed it.
