Rhetta's Purple Party with a Side of Flying

Her birthday is yet to come (tomorrow) but we had a party today with guests. We invited two family friends with kids plus three boys and three girls from her class. One family friend came, the other is excused for having her baby yesterday (Congratulations Christi!), two boys from school, and our "adopted" son whom we mentor who just turned 13. I was disappointed for my girl because she loves her classmates sooooo much, but she had a kickass time and that's what counts.

We started out playing Wii.

We turned on the Dance Cam for a bit then we played pin the wings on the fairy. Rhetta drew a very large Tinkerbell. I traced the wings she drew, made copies, then cut them out. Willon won!

Oh it looks like so much fun! I wonder where the girl gets her love for purple?

Sounds like great attendance to me :) And a purple party at that - I love how kids are in the moment and it doesn't matter to them really that turnout isn't what parents expected. I invited 25 kids one year for a twins party - total of 9 including my three... so the next year I upped it to 35, hubby was wary since party room capacity was 25... 11 kids including my 3 and the one that another mom was babysitting for the day... Then as I was wondering what the deal was, is it a pattern, this year only one kid was a no show! I love the wings! Sure wish our kids could hang out!
