I collect rocks. I collect very big rocks, mainly. This one I'm pointing at with my nudie toe was formed when the earth took shape. It is 1.7 billion years old. Yup, that's pretty much as old as it gets in Colorado.
FYI: This particular Precambrian rock is gneiss, a metamorphic rock that used to be sedimentary rock.
Also FYI: There are older rocks to be found in Canada and Australia. If anyone would like to bring one of them to me I would be eternally grateful. kthxbai.
